Welcome to the Toronto Lords

The Toronto Lords Basketball Association was founded in 1996 as an organization devoted to help youth achieve success in both academics and athletics in downtown Toronto.

Lords basketball is elite basketball for girls ages 8-19. The girls attend schools througout Toronto, with the program involving over 150 girls a year in our various programs. There are currently six girls teams – a Novice team (ages 9 and under),  a Major Atom (ages 10-11), a Major Bantam team (ages 12-13), a Midget team (14), a Major Midget team (15), and a Junior Women's team (ages 17-19). As well, we introduced several boys teams last year, and will expand our operations to include several boys teams this fall.

The club is totally non-profit and a federally registered charity. In addition to our OBA teams, we value academics, realizing that success on the court will only take you so far without a strong academic background. Our free tutoring program and post-secondary scholarship program are ingrained in every aspect of Toronto Lord,  where our scholarship program last year we gave out over $10000 in scholarships to graduates to continue with their post-secondary education, and has contributed over $40,000 to our players continuing their education in the last 7 years.  The coaches and volunteers donate their time because they love basketball and the impact it can have on these girls. All of our teams are registered with the Ontario Basketball Association(OBA), the governing body of basketball in Ontario.
