The Toronto Lords Teams

OBA Rep Teams

The foundation of Toronto Lords Basketball is an elite basketball for teenage girls located in downtown Toronto. Our practices are primarily out of Jarvis Collegiate and the surrounding area, but we attract players from high school teams located all across Toronto. There are currently five teams – a Major Atom girl's team (ages 10-11), a Major Bantam girl's team (ages 12-13), a Midget girl's team (age 14), a Major Midget team (age 15) and a Junior Womens' team (ages 17-19).

Steve Nash Youth Basketball and Women's League

The Toronto Lords run a weekend morning Steve Nash Youth Basketball program which is the Canada Basketball endorsed development program.  This begins in October and runs through to February.

In addition, Toronto Lords runs a highly competitive youth and womens league on Saturdays starting in October and running through May, open to any female basketball player ages 13 and up.

The Toronto Lords Coaches

The coaches within the Toronto Lords organization come from a variety of avenues. All are volunteers, receiving no payment for their services and often spending a great deal of their own time and money to help run the organization. Coaches come from a variety of professions, including teachers, business professionals, and parents, all of whom are carefully screened and required to achieve NCCP Coaching Level 1 in order to be allowed to coach in our organization.

In addition to the parents involved directly in coaching, we have a number of parents who are involved in fundraising, organizing tournaments, driving players to games, and any other tasks the organization may need, all in a volunteer capacity.
